Welcome to St.
Edward on-the-Lake Catholic School. I hope this message
conveys how pleased we are that you are exploring a Catholic
education for your child(ren).
Catholic schools have a proud history in America and a
proven record of academic excellence. There are several ways
in which we are different from public schools – the main one
being that we are free to talk about and to pray to God.
Religion is not just one of the subjects but rather a
day-long way of living and interacting. Kindness, respect,
and
obedience are fostered. Older students are examples to
younger ones. Leadership is built. Service is encouraged. We
give young people a philosophy for life.
We offer an educational setting which serves as an extended
family, an extension of the home where parental involvement
is welcomed and where a sense of belonging is the right of
every student.
We will proudly open our new gymnasium and cafeteria in
September. This will enhance the many offerings at St.
Edward such as small class size, a safe, friendly
environment, high test scores and, most importantly, FAITH.
I tell people all the time that, at St. Edward School, we
have cute kids (and we do) but by the end of 5th grade, they
are beautiful inside and out. I encourage you to give us a
